Iconic German spirit brand teams with award-winning cinematic bass duo Koven to create unique video games soundtrack for winning studio

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Jägermeister has launched an exciting new initiative in the video games space, teaming with award-winning cinematic bass duo Koven for the ‘Track and Build’ competition.

Track and Build – which opens today – will search for a games studio to work with Koven on an exclusive track for one of its games.

Indie studios who have a game which will be ready for release in 2019 are invited to enter the competition for free.

Submissions are being taken via www.trackandbuild.io with the entry period closing on February 15th2019, when the shortlist of games will be revealed. The winning studio will be announced at the end of February and will have the unique opportunity to have a game track produced by Koven.

London-based cinematic bass duo Koven is the production alias of producer Max Rowat and Katie Boyle. Within the games industry they are best known for creating the track ‘My Love’ for Rocket League, as well as the trailer music for Driveclub.

“We’re incredibly excited about the Track and Build competition, as it represents our first steps into the games sector,” said Jägermeister’s Music Manager Tom Carson.

“Thanks to our friends at Koven, we can offer a games studio the unique opportunity to have a track created for them by artists who have already made a name for themselves in the genre through their work on Rocket League.”

Jägermeister will announce a further element to the Track and Build competition in the New Year when it will engage with the composer community on the initiative.

Through a weekly online show as well as the physical pop-up, Lost In Music showcases various innovative Sony technologies combined with exclusive interviews and performances from multiple Sony Music artists.

REALITY CLASH GOES INTO BETA & TEAMS WITH UNIVERSITIES

Full Beta of the innovative AR mobile combat game kicks off on iOS & Android

Online courses are complemented by a new physical training facility at Shure's UK offices

London, UK, October 19th 2018– Shure has underlined its commitment to providing audio professionals with up-to-date technical insights and training with the launch of the new Shure Audio Institute (SAI) Integrated Systems Certification program.

This innovative and unique scheme will ensure that customers are equipped with a solid understanding of general audio topics, plus the practical skillsets required to navigate this rapidly evolving sector. The free Integrated Systems Certification program is aimed at new and existing Shure customers and is open to anyone looking to gain sales and technical knowledge in Shure products and solutions, enabling them to more effectively manage client situations.

The Integrated Systems Certification program supports the implementation of Shure products globally through training, education, and certification. In addition, it ensures that Shure distribution centres and channel partners have the up-to-date knowledge required to buy, resell, and technically support Shure products in the Integrated Systems market, elevating capabilities and the confidence of end users.

These courses are now available and can be accessed via local Shure websites. Online courses are currently available in English, however all courses will be adapted for multilingual use in the near future.

The firm is now working on Kartoon Racers, which uniquely takes iconic heroes and villains from popular culture and mashes them together in a series of crazy and chaotic kart races.

Each race features 12 racers from two rival teams – namely ‘Team Heroes’ and ‘Team Villains’.

Team Heroes features legends such as Sherlock Holmes, King Arthur and Cleopatra, while Team Villains includes classic bad guys such as Captain Hook, Frankenstein’s Monster and the Queen of Hearts.

“We believe Kartoon Racerswill appeal to a wide spectrum of gamers, spanning all ages.”

Viewpoint Games is currently in negotiations with a number of publishing partners, with Kartoon Racersscheduled for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Switch in 2019.

Stockholm/Sweden, September 17 2018− The Stockholm International Fairs and Congress Centre in Sweden recently installed 68 channels of the Shure Axient® Digital Wireless System.Stockholmsmässan is Scandinavia’s largest exhibition centre, with a total of 75,000 square metres of exhibition area. It hosts high-level international conferences and events throughout the year, including the world-renowned Medical Congress, which attracts more than 15,000 medical professionals during a three-day period. 

Reliability was a key factor in the decision when it came to selecting a new wireless system. Axient Digital was chosen for its superb audio quality at low latency, long battery life, and versatile channel bandwidth. 

The dedicated in-house AV department, which oversees the small, mid-size, and large conference and exhibition applications, needed a dependable wireless system with excellent performance. Fredrik Zetterberg, Head of Production Event Technologies, Stockholmsmässan, said that the system had “exceeded all expectations in sonic quality.”
