FunFest Influencer Summit returns for 2017

The FunFest Influencer Summit is returning once again this September – but with some exciting changes.

FunFest, now in its third year, is the UK’s first family-friendly parent blogger conference and brand ambassador event. The conference and expo has grown to accommodate a broad spectrum of bloggers, vloggers, YouTubers and social media influencers, who are all key within the fast-changing world of media and communications.

2017 sees a larger programme of activity and an extended showcase of brands and entertainment properties exhibiting and getting involved.

The event keeps family at its heart and is still very much focused on parenting and children – but will look beyond toys and traditional children’s products to include video games, books, apps, tech, bikes, music, sports and more.

The team behind the event has changed too, with Mimram Media now co-organising FunFest in partnership with MI PR Global, resulting in an exciting portfolio of activity for influencers and a greater scope for brand collaboration.

The FunFest Influencer Summit returns to Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa, Northamptonshire on Saturday September 16th 2017 and comprises:

•       A conference programme designed to inspire, inform and educate aspiring influencers and bloggers

•       An opportunity for influencers to meet brands who are looking for new ambassadors and media partners

•       Networking opportunities with like-minded peers

•       Kids come free! After all, the event is all about fun!

•       The FunFest Blogger Summit is for all influencers, whether you’re a mum, dad or grandparent, a ‘traditional’ blogger, YouTuber – or if you want to be one!

In addition, those who travel to FunFest by train will be offered free transport from Milton Keynes Station to the venue, and back again.

“The influencers of today are as much likely to use YouTube, Twitch and Facebook Live as they are to present their media channels via the written blog.

And that’s why we’re ensuring that FunFest 2017 will better reflect all areas of social journalism,” said Mimram Media Director Lisa Carter.

“At the same time, we’ve widened the brand sectors covered at FunFest. Toys remain important, but FunFest 2017 will also include brands from the worlds of video games, books, musical instruments, tech and more – in essence, anything that your kids love doing – and that parenting influencers love writing or talking about.”

Ruth Leonard, Marketing Director at Co-Organiser MI PR Global, added: “FunFest has been a great success over the past two years, inspiring bloggers and providing brands with a fantastic opportunity to engage with these important influencers.

“We’re delighted to be working with Mimram Media on FunFest 2017 and to be taking the event to the next level.”

Leading blogger Vicki Psarias joins the FunFest Blogger Summit speaker line-up

Vicki Psarias, the woman behind the ultra-successful Honest Mum website, is returning to FunFest on September 10th to share her tips on how to increase your confidence, shun your fears – and, ultimately, grow your business.

Vicki is one of the top five per cent of bloggers worldwide. Her site, Honest Mum, is a lifestyle online magazine targeting parents aged 30+, and focuses on food, fashion, film and wellbeing, as well as parenting.

Her posts very often provide advice to women on how to become their most confident and successful selves in the digital space – and real world. A subject close to her heart, this will provide the basis for Vicki’s presentation session at FunFest.

“As women, we often feel like frauds don’t we? I know I do, and often, and there’s a term for it: the imposter syndrome,” she says. “The imposter syndrome alludes to feeling like a fake when you have no reason to. It boils down to confidence, and despite more women than ever thriving in the work place, it’s sad to admit, we are often our own worst enemies.”

A regular in the national media on TV, Vicki was featured on Sky News earlier this year, discussing this very topic. She will expand on this theme at FunFest.

Kirsty Barr, MD of MI PR Global, the company behind FunFest, adds: “Vicki’s presentation at FunFest last year was incredibly inspirational to all those who attended the event – including me. So we’re delighted that she has agreed to return this year.

“The issue of confidence is something that affects many, many women and can often mean it holds them back in business. We’re looking forward to Vicki tackling this topic and offering advice about how we can all learn to have a bit more swagger!”

The FunFest Blogger Summit is the UK’s first family-friendly blogger conference and brand ambassador exhibition.

The event provides top brands across a variety of toy & gifting sectors including pre-school, STEM, tech, outdoor, nursery and festive with the opportunity to engage and network with the blogging community. A morning conference session will also give delegates the opportunity to learn from their peers and leading media experts.

The event, now in its second year, will take place on Saturday, September 10th 2016 at Whittlebury Hotel & Spa in Northamptonshire.

The FunFest Blogger Summit is for all bloggers – whether you’re a mum, dad or grandparent, or a general lifestyle blogger. The event is also suitable for both beginner or wannabe bloggers, as well as the elite of the UK blog sector, as there will be conference sessions and masterclasses suitable for all.

Tickets are priced at just £39.99 and you can bring the kids for free. To buy tickets and find out more, visit www.funfestuk.com.

FunFest Blogger Summit 2015 - A great day for all the family!

We had to move the date to avoid a clash with another blogger event, but it seems that a September event suits you – and our event partners – far better, which makes it good news all round!

We’ve also listened to your feedback to tweak the day’s line-up to suit your requirements even more.

So, just as a reminder of what you get for the £39.99 ticket to the event, we thought we’d provide a full round-up of what we have in store for you on Saturday September 12th.

The idea behind the FunFest Blogger Summit is to provide some genuinely useful advice from peers and experts on how you can turn your blog into a profitable business, and our conference sessions will now only run in the morning, giving you plenty of time to explore our brands in the afternoon.

At the same time, we’re giving you the opportunity to meet up with some of the biggest brands in toys and children’s entertainment – all of whom are looking for new Brand Ambassadors.

And on top of all of that, we’re giving you the opportunity to bring your children along for free! Well, we couldn’t have the top toys of this Christmas on show without allowing the kids to enjoy them too, could we?

We’ll also have children’s entertainment running throughout the day, a Fun Zone where kids can spend time testing out this year’s top toys, plus a Quiet Zone, manned by child minders in the conference area, so you can enjoy the sessions without worrying about your little ones. There will also be a whole host of other themed rooms, so watch this space!

We are signing new event partners every day, and we are pleased to announce that so far, they include JCB Toys, Carte Blanche Greetings, Pudsey The Dog, Lazerbuilt and Icon Live. Watch this space for more exciting announcements next week!

The Expo and Brand Networking element of FunFest will see leading toy and children’s entertainment companies demonstrate their autumn/winter lines. They are all looking to work closer with bloggers going forward, with FunFest giving them – and you – the opportunity to discuss collaborations.
