The search is on for an artist or band to collaborate with award-winning cinematic bass duo Koven, with help from record label NCS and music submissions platform LabelRadar

Iconic German spirit brand brings the worlds of music and video games together for an exciting and innovative initiative

Jägermeister has launched an exciting new initiative, ‘Track and Build’, which straddles the worlds of music and video games.

The competition initially launched in the video games sector late last year, the aim being to find an indie development studio to work with award-winning cinematic bass duo Koven on an exclusive track for one of its games.

Now Jägermeister is searching for an artist or band (aged 18+) to be given the exciting opportunity to collaborate with Koven and to provide a music track for a key game release in 2019.

The Track and Build competition is open to any artist of any ability in any genre globally, whether they are a solo act, duo, part of a group or a band.

Leading music outfits NCS and LabelRadar have also joined the initiative as Track and Build partners.

Record label NCS provides a catalogue of music for some of the world’s biggest YouTubers and Streamers, showcasing music artists to several million Spotify listeners and over 20 million YouTube subscribers every day.

LabelRadar is a revolutionary A&R platform that streamlines the demo submission process across the electronic music industry, helping artists get heard while also allowing labels and promoters to review new submissions in an efficient and addictive way.

The Track and Build competition is free for artists/bands to enter and submissions are being taken via www.smarturl.it/trackandbuild with the entry period closing on February 22nd 2019, after which the shortlist of finalists will be revealed on March 4th.

The winning artist/band will be announced on March 11th and will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with Koven to finish their track and have it included in the game.

London-based Koven is the production alias of producer Max Rowat and Katie Boyle. Within the games industry they are best known for creating the track ‘My Love’ for Rocket League, as well as the trailer music for Driveclub.

“The worlds of music and video games have been growing increasingly intertwined, with games now providing musicians with an additional creative opportunity,” said Jägermeister’s Music Manager Tom Carson.

“Koven has already proven itself in the video games space, thanks to their work on Rocket League and more. And now, thanks to the Track and Build competition, they are giving upcoming artists/bands the opportunity to do the same. We’re very excited to be launching this initiative.”

“We’re tremendously excited to be collaborating with such high calibre partners,” said NCS Director Graham Best. “Koven are an act we’ve been huge fans of for years, LabelRadar is a truly revolutionary A&R destination and Jägermeister’s ongoing support for UK music speaks for itself.

“Equally exciting are the partners we haven’t met yet – supporting emerging creative talent is fundamental to NCS, and the opportunity to help give a platform to a brand-new artist AND indie game developer is one we’re thrilled to be part of.”

LabelRadar CEO Ed Brew added: “This collaboration represents a truly exciting chance for artists to benefit from a tremendous amount of value all at once. We’re very proud to see our platform help artists and brands alike benefit from greater access to each other, and we are very much looking forward to seeing the result!”

Best served as an ice cold shot, Jägermeister is a family owned brand and a unique herbal spirit that was developed by Curt Mast from a secret recipe.  Launched in Germany over 80 years ago, Jägermeister is made by Mast-Jägermeister SE, in Wolfenbüttel Germany using a blend of 56 different herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits from all over the world and this secret recipe has not changed since it was first made. The pure and natural botanical ingredients are extracted in their raw, unprocessed form through a gentle, weeks-long process of cold maceration to create Jägermeister's base. The base, housed in more than 400 oak casks, then "breathes" for one full year to guarantee a high-quality finish, and authentic taste. Jägermeister contains 35% alcohol by volume.
